Everybody understand the importance of using a computer in today’s world. From work applications to professional operations, to home use and school work, computers are an important tool that help us achieve our goals, ambitions and work. Computers, though, are quite different and vary widely in terms of size, speed, portability, graphics and applications. Identifying the right type of computer required for the right kind of application can be key. It can help improve the work out put, increase productivity and quality of work and help make life easier. It can also save widely on costs.
When buying a computer that will be specifically used as an entertainment hub, such as for watching movies, playing computer games and downloading music videos, a brand new computer with great graphics as well as a large hard disk with enough space to store all the wonderful games. The computer should also have a large RAM, as each game has to be uploaded before play, and modern computer games require large computer space, modern keyboard with gaming keys and a modern display unit such as a back lit Liquid Crystal Display unit with VGA graphics.
A computer for everyday general use such as surfing the internet, sending emails and storing files need not be an expensive computer. A good second hand or a cheap average computer, especially for general home usage will do rather well. No need to have large memory space or large RAM. Family photos and letters can be saved on the regular 40GB hard disk.
Students at university may get a laptop. This is a functional and portable computer that can be easily carried to college and back. Office computers or professional computers that use large application software would require a brand new computer with a fast processor, a large memory space and advanced graphics and display units.
